This one day course is unique to M8trix. We developed the course when it became apparent that experienced Door Supervisors & Event Stewards were missing concealed weapons during search based scenario training.

It is based on two principles:

1. If you do not know what you are looking for - you will not find it.

2. If you do not recognise it - you will not see it.

We will give you just one example, in the picture opposite you will see, side-by-side, a genuine lipstick and a concealed weapon - a knife. Outwardly, they look the same. They are distinctly different and very experienced Door Supervisors have missed the weapon in training. Because they did not know of the threat and therefore did not see it. That begs the question, how many other weapons had they missed before?

The problem with weapons of this nature is that the person carrying it, does not generally intend to use it. However, if backed into a corner, under threat, they will reach for it as a defensive move. Before they know it, they use it and this blade can cause horrific wounds at worst and at best kill.

The course will have an impact - even on the most experienced security professional. During the course many more covert and overt weapons will be demonstrated. As will their use, method of concealment, threat leve and avoidance.l
